The Université de Sherbrooke RNomics Platform provides a wide range of Next-Generation Sequencing, RT-PCR, and bioinformatics services to the research community across Canada and beyond. The platform was founded in 2006.

We provide a complete sequencing service from library preparation, sequencing run, to data storage and analysis. We offer a mid-throughput service range using Illumina MiSeq™ and NextSeq™ 500 platforms. Needs for deeper sequencing are referred to partner genome centers for the sequencing run itself, while we prevail on the library preparation and data analysis.

We have developed an automated computational and experimental platform for large scale RT-PCR based investigations. Primary applications are for gene expression studies using either digital droplet PCR (ddPCR) or quantitative real-time RT-PCR (qRT-PCR), and for the annotation and analysis of alternative splicing using endpoint PCR coupled with microcapillary electrophoresis (ASPCR). We routinely design, execute and analyze thousands of qRT-PCR and ASPCR reactions per day.

We offer complete and flexible sample preparation services including RNA and DNA isolation and quality control from cell culture and tissue sources. We also offer extensive bioinformatics support for experimental design and data analysis covering a wide application field.

Clients can access their results and all experimental data via our secure web portal. The Platform's expert staff is always available for direct consultation at all stages of each project. The Platform is continually developing new assays and bioinformatics protocols to meet the needs of its expanding client base, whether Université de Sherbrooke, Canadian or external academics, or industrials.
